Protection and Support of Native Animals and
Plants in the Mossel Bay Area

KATMARDAR –

About
KATMARDAR

KATMARDAR was founded to give back to a part of the world we fell in love with. We do this by supporting the flora and fauna of the greater Mossel Bay area in South Africa:

The 150ha of untouched land form part of a wildlife corridor along the Outeniqua mountain range and are a place where nature can thrive.

The environment of KATMARDAR, our neighbours and their relationship to nature: First of all, we would like to thank all our neighbours from the bottom of our hearts, the commitment and awareness of taking responsibility for the next generations is overwhelming.

Whether they are farms or private nature reserves, everyone is pulling in the same direction. This deep understanding makes it possible to protect and promote this incredible diversity of plants. There are very few places in the world where so many endemic species have survived.

If you take a look at the region on Google earth, you will see that there is a hundreds of kilometres long band on the ridge of the Swartberge and Outeniqua mountains that almost seamlessly follows on from nature reserve to nature reserve.
